Can I edit files?

No, JustMD is a viewer by design. Open the file in your editor of choice; JustMD is for reading. When you save there, JustMD updates on its own.

Why does JustMD ask to read a folder?

Mac apps from the App Store can only read the files you open. If a document shows images stored next to it, JustMD asks once for that folder so it can display them. It only reads; it never changes anything.

How do I make JustMD the default for .md files?

In Finder, select any .md file, press ⌘I, choose JustMD under “Open with”, then click “Change All…”.

Is it really free?

Yes. Free on the App Store, MIT on GitHub. No in-app purchases.
